About Me

Tamitha Davis-Rama,  LCSW-C, LICSW, LCSW

Licensed in MD, DC and VA

I am a native of Arlington/Alexandria, Virginia, Indigenous land of the Nacotchtank (Anacostan) people.  My passions are intertwined in providing women with access to knowledge and options that enhance their overall mental health and well-being.  So Hello Beautiful Therapy was born.

I received a masters in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University; a bachelor of social work from Howard University; and a bachelor of Metaphysics from the University of Sedona. I have more than 30 years of professional clinical experience working with a range of individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, family conflict/separation, trauma, grief and loss, self-discover, self-awareness, and symptoms of severe, persistent mental illness (SPMI).  Over the past 11 years I have worked in the community with women empowerment and advocacy groups and within the LGBTQ community.

Personal and professional experiences have shown me that life is about transitions with some being more difficult to navigate than others. My focus is to provide an authentic, safe, affirming, and compassionate space to help you navigate through challenges and to create a sense of balance. Seeing you as the expert of your life with unique strengths and needs, my help is aimed at building healthy ways for you to guide your thoughts and allow for the attraction of the things you want by taking intentional actions based on motivation and not fear.

I am dedicated to helping individuals and couples find their way through life’s toughest challenges. I incorporates various techniques tailored to each client’s individual needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, solutions focused brief therapy, and more.

I strive to create a safe and compassionate environment for you to express your feelings and challenges openly. I am passionate about equipping you with the tools you need to cope with life’s obstacles and the courage to continue on your journey to show up healthy, boldly and authentically.
